After three years of hoping and dreaming, I finally booked my first trip to NYC. This trip was a big one for me, as it was my first time traveling alone. I didn’t have a set plan and spent my days wandering the city and getting lost on the subway. This trip challenged my comfort zone and allowed me to learn more about myself and tackle some of my inner struggles.
I’m a true introvert so I thrived being alone in such a big city. I felt so much energy from the people around me. Prior to my trip, I felt like I was just going through the motions of my life, so this week allowed me to recharge & refocus.
I’m coming home with a renewed sense of independence and a lust for more adventure. New York City has so much life and history. I am inspired by the abundance of culture and character this city has. I never considered living in the Big Apple, but this trip has definitely opened my mind. I’ll be back soon.
