sheldvn is an R&B/Hip-Hop artist from here in Sacramento that got on my radar several weeks back. If you’re not familiar, then I’m really excited to be introducing you to his music. He’s been attracting a lot of well-deserved attention on SoundCloud, with a handful of his singles breaking that sweet 10K plays mark…definitely something to be proud of when you’re an artist coming out of a non-commercial city like ours. His tracks are soulful and well-produced and just all around good. His latest, “Problem”, is gaining some serious momentum and when I asked him about the song, he said…

“I wrote ‘Problem’ about how relationships can be like drug addictions, and sometimes they even go hand in hand. It’s also the first song I’ve ever produced myself. ‘Headlines’ I also produced myself and I made the beat and the vocals in just a few hours late one night. It’s an ode to the starving artist struggling to get noticed.”
