The artist herself, Ms. Solange Knowles calls A Seat at the Table, “a project on identity, empowerment, independence, grief and healing.” This 21-track masterpiece features sounds from Kelela, Q-Tip, Kelly Rowland, Lil Wayne, Dev Hynes, Sampha, Moses Sumney, The-Dream, BJ the Chicago Kid, Sean Nicholas Savage and Tweet. So tonight, Solange announced her two latest visuals, “Don’t Touch My Hair” and “Cranes in the Sky”, directed by her and her husband, Alan Ferguson. And let me tell you, the world needed this album and these bold, beautiful visuals. I’ll let the music speak for itself. Check ’em both below… Don’t touch my hair When it’s the feelings I wear Don’t touch my soul When it’s the rhythm I know Don’t touch my crown They say the vision I’ve found Don’t touch what’s there When it’s the feelings I wear I tried to drink it away I tried to put one in the air I tried to dance it away I tried to change it with my hair **** Stream Solange’s “A Seat at the Table” via Apple Music or Spotify.
